Be Drop bear aware!

Most Australian animals are deadly, and vary from a scale of "a bit deadly" (redback spider) to "you won't make it out alive" deadly (saltwater crocodile, great white shark). But the Drop bear, (Phascolarctos ursus dropii) is Australia's cutest and deadliest animal. They are unusually large, vicious, carnivorous koalas who inhabit the treetops. The furry killers wait for their victim and drop down upon the prey, usually instantly knocking it unconscious.
The Drop Bears daily diet usually contains of 2-3 wallabies, or a kangaroo, or tourists. The reason for this is due to the tourists being more likely to venture out of the Drop bear free cities and into national parks, the outback or hinterland where drop bears are more plentiful. Each year approximately 430 tourists are killed in Drop bear related attacks around Australia. During the great Drop bear plague of 1987 they even came wandering into rual tows and cities in search for food, raising the death toll to more than 2700 peple. Most of them where english tourists, drunk backpackers, fat children or anyone unable to outrun the attacking marsupial.
There are various ways of preventing being killed, including carrying a screwdriver raised above your head in the hope of impaling the attacking drop bear, but all of them are futile.
